About

Denise Gulotta, LCSW

I graduated from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Psychology in May 2000. I then earned my Masters of Social Worker from Loyola University in Chicago in 2002. I was a school social worker for 15 years before starting in group practice in 2017. For two years at the practice, I had the opportunity to be a site supervisor. In 2022 I decided to continue my professional growth and started InnerBloom!

I decided to become a child therapist when I was in high school and had so many experiences working with children in various places including child care settings, as a nanny, after school care, and then as a social worker in schools.

One of my favorite things to do is spending quality time with my family and friends. The connections I have with them are so important and meaningful to me. I enjoy taking mindful walks, exploring different neighborhoods in Chicago and attending concerts. At home, I like watching back-to-back episodes of the newest series I’m obsessed with. I absolutely love my reading on my kindle before bed and listening to audio books in the car. I live to travel, explore different cities and countries. I love learning about different cultures, traditions, and trying local foods. My creative outlets include participating in art classes and making candles. One fun fact about me is that I used to do makeup for weddings. My newest passion is taking care of my growing collection of plants. Watching my plant and clients bloom brings joy to my life.
