What Therapy Is Like

Clients say that sessions with me are warm, collaborative, and thoughtful. There is no pressure to share more than you’re ready to. Therapy moves at your pace. Many people come in feeling unsure where to begin. My role is to help you slow down, explore what’s going on in your mind and body, and develop new ways of responding to the challenges in your life.

Sessions often include: thoughtful conversation and reflection, learning practical coping and mindfulness strategies, exploring patterns in relationships, building self awareness and/or setting personal goals.

My work is guided by ethical standards established by professional organizations such as the National Association of Social Workers. I am committed to providing therapy that is thoughtful, compassionate, and grounded in research-supported practices.
